Youth of the Year
The Youth of the Year title is a prestigious honor bestowed upon an exemplary young person in recognition of leadership, service, academic excellence and dedication to live a healthy lifestyle. Now in its 71st year, the Youth of the Year program honors our nation’s most awe-inspiring young people on their path to great futures and encourages all kids to lead, succeed and inspire.
Congratulations to our 2019 Youth of the Year, Amonnie Polite!

Amonnie is a 10th grader and has been a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton for ten years where she serves as president of the Keystone Club and works as a Junior Staff member. Amonnie says, "The Club has offered an immense amount of opportunities for me to exceed in life, and help me to become a strong and independent woman."
We are so proud to have this exceptional young lady representing our Club!
Many Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton members have gone on to win the Youth of the Year title not only at the Club level, but have gone on to win the title for all of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry as well as the state of South Carolina title. These recipients have been rewarded with college scholarships, interships and countless other opportunities.
