General Description
LEGO Robotics programs engage members in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) in a way that is fun, educational, and creative. Members as young as 6 years old can learn to build and program robots. At the Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton, we are building a program where we can foster members' robotics and programming skills starting in early elementary school and continuing through middle school and high school.

The LEGO Robotics program at the Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton is three-fold. First, it teaches members the basics of computer programming using LEGO WeDo 2.0 and LEGO Mindstorms robotics kits. Second, it engages them in exciting FIRST robotics programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, and inspire innovation. Finally, it promotes life skills including self-confidence, teamwork, communication, and leadership.
