Youth of the Year

The Youth of the Year title is a prestigious honor bestowed upon an exemplary young person in recognition of leadership, service, academic excellence and dedication to live a healthy lifestyle. The Youth of the Year program honors our nation’s most awe-inspiring young people on their path to great futures and encourages all kids to lead, succeed and inspire.

Congratulations to our 2022 Youth of the Year, Lily Jackson!

Lily Jackson is a freshman at Cross Schools where she is active in theatre and student council. She has been a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton for eight years, and is active in Debate Club, Career Launch and teen activities.

“If I can learn to understand others, then I can understand myself.”

Many Boys & Girls Club of Bluffton members have gone on to win the Youth of the Year title not only at the Club level, but have gone on to win the title for all of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry as well as the state of South Carolina title. These recipients have been rewarded with college scholarships, interships and countless other opportunities.
